今年三月，我们两组学生秉持着学习与探索的精神，在百忙的学业中决然地踏上了今年的短视频创作旅程，创造出《倒计时》与《接班人》两部作品。《倒计时》探索人生的选择和意义。制作过程可说是历经坎坷，从新加坡横跨马来西亚，整个剧组一同度过了好几个忙碌却充实的夜晚。《接班人》展现出本地潮剧文化的魅力。初次涉足短片制作，我们的每一步都充满了未知和惊喜。我们对于短片制作的勇于尝试，和比赛主题有异曲同工之妙。

这次比赛的主题是“勇于尝试”，正是我们的“勇于尝试”，最终我们收获了丰硕的果实：最佳短片第二与第三名，最佳剧本、最佳男主角，最佳海报设计。果实的成长离不开主办方与学校为我们提供的土壤，也离不开整个剧组对这颗果树的栽培。路途上，我们所收获的经验、成长与友谊化为美好的回忆；我们会继续努力，勇于尝试，再创新高。

In March 2024, two groups of students from Hwa Chong Institution embarked on a short film creation project. 🎬 They produced two films 🎞️: Countdown《倒计时》and Successor《接班人》. Countdown explores themes of life's meaning and individual choices, while Successor highlights the cultural significance of local Teochew opera.

The efforts resulted in notable success: second 🥈 and third 🥉 place for Best Short Film overall, along with awards for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Poster Design. These achievements were made possible through the opportunities provided by the organisers, the support from the school, and effective teamwork. The project fostered personal growth, strengthened friendships, and created lasting memories.
