Direct School Admission DSA–JC Exercise For Admission to JC1
Direct School Admission for junior colleges (DSA-JC) allows students to apply to a DSA school before taking the GCE O-Level examinations. It allows a diverse range of talents to be recognized in admission other than academic achievement in GCE O-Level.
In Hwa Chong DSA, we are looking for promising Sec 4 students who are currently studying in mainstream Singapore schools who demonstrate any of the following:
1 . Strong intellectual and scholastically talented in a specific subject discipline;
2 . Leadership potential with character qualities like integrity, resilience, passion and compassion.
3 . Outstanding talent in sports or performing arts
You can apply up to any two of the following 7 categories:
To ensure that students fully benefit from our IP, they will be assessed on their demonstrated and potential qualities, beyond mere academic ability.
Once a student has accepted the DSA offer, he/she will not take part in the Joint Admission Exercise (JAE) and he/she is not allowed to transfer to another school. They will be assured of a place in the school on the condition that they satisfy the minimum criterion for admission to junior college based on their GCE O-Level result.
Please refer to MOE DSA website for the latest update.
