On 2 August, our High School and College students took part in the "Xin Kong Xia"《新空下》 National Schools Xinyao Singing and Songwriting Competition 2025 finals held at Dunman High School.

After several months of preparation, our students demonstrated exceptional talent, creativity, and teamwork, culminating in outstanding results.

In the Lyrics Writing category dedicated to the theme of gratitude《感恩》, students composed heartfelt pieces expressing gratitude to their teachers who have shaped and illuminated their educational journeys.

Hwa Chong Institution also clinched 1st place in the Songwriting (Creative Category) for the third consecutive year, a testament to our students’ creativity and passion for music. We look forward to the release of the music video for《小鱼》 by Zhao Deliang (25S69) and Xu Le (25S69) in 2026.

This year’s results once again highlight how our students rose above challenges. From countless rehearsals to balancing rigorous academics with intensive practice, they displayed determination, discipline, and teamwork. Many students stepped outside their comfort zones to perform on stage for the first time and poured personal stories into original compositions, striving for excellence.

We are proud of everyone’s efforts and commend the dedication and passion of our students!
