International Olympiad in Informatics 2026
The International Olympiad in Informatics is one of the several international science Olympiads held annually around the world. Exceptional high school students from various countries compete in the prestigious algorithmic competition to sharpen their informatics skills – such as problem analysis, design of algorithms and data structures, programming, and testing.

SPF Book Prize 2026
Four Hwa Chong Institution students were awarded the Singapore Police Force (SPF) Book Prize 2026 for academic and CCA excellence. Presented by Superintendent Lee Ting Wei, the award offers recipients opportunities to join SPF experiential programmes and engage with officers.

C2 Mass CT Session with artist, director and composer Niranjan Pandian
In celebration of National Day, the C2 cohort attended a Mass CT session led by artist, director, and composer Niranjan Pandian. Titled “The Sound of Home: An Artist's Journey Through Singapore’s Multicultural Landscape,” the interactive session explored Singapore’s diverse heritage through Indian flute performances, personal reflections, and collaborative rhythm activities.

Awards Presentation Day 2026
On July 18, 2026, Hwa Chong Institution celebrated student achievements in academics, co-curriculars, service, and leadership at its annual Awards Presentation Day. The event featured speeches by Guest-of-Honour Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Principal Mr Lee Peck Ping, and Valedictorian Seah Jin Rong, alongside musical performances.
