Mid-Autumn Festival (College) 2026

On 12 Sep, Hwa Chongians past and present came together for a night of festivities as the campus came alive with food, games, performances and plenty of spirit.

As the festivities kicked off, the school grounds came alive with vibrant game booths, including dragon boat racing, 猜灯谜 (lantern riddles), and archery.

Meanwhile, mooncakes and Chinese tea served by the Parents’ Support Group (PSG) offered a delicious taste of tradition.

The Hwa Chong Alumni Association’s (HCAA) ice cream trucks proved to be a crowd favorite, drawing long queues throughout the evening.

With alumni returning to collect their shirts and reconnect, the evening warmly brought together generations of Hwa Chongians.

As night fell, the celebrations moved to the stage with Chinese Dance, Wushu, Chinese Orchestra, WeYoung, Choir and String Ensemble bringing music and movement to the evening.

Interactive gameshows kept the crowd going between performances, before everyone came together for a mass SODACHE (Song, Dance and Cheer) session led by the Students’ Council’s SECCo (Student Engagement and Culture Committee). The mix of nostalgia and energy was a fitting end to the night.

More than a celebration of tradition, the night brought our students, parents, alumni, and loved ones together across generations to reconnect, share joyful moments, and celebrate the strong bonds of the Hwa Chong community.
