International Olympiad in Informatics 2026

The International Olympiad in Informatics is one of the several international science Olympiads held annually around the world. Exceptional high school students from various countries compete in the prestigious algorithmic competition to sharpen their informatics skills – such as problem analysis, design of algorithms and data structures, programming, and testing.
Hwa Chong Institution is pleased to congratulate Derrick Lukimin (25S6G) and Tey Yi Xiang (26S6D) on their outstanding performance at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2026.

Both Derrick and Yi Xiang were part of the team that represented Singapore and earned Silver Medals.

They have demonstrated tremendous dedication and perseverance in their preparation for the competition, committing themselves to rigorous training since the June holidays. Their Silver Medal finishes are especially commendable as this was their first participation at the IOI.
We congratulate Derrick and Yi Xiang on this remarkable achievement and commend them for their hard work, determination and commitment to excellence.
