53rd Students’ Council Investiture

The investiture celebrated the handover of leadership to the 53rd Students’ Council while honouring the dedicated service of the outgoing 52nd Council.
On 14 May, the 52nd Students’ Council officially stepped down, passing the baton to the incoming 53rd Students’ Council. The ceremony served as an opportunity to thank the outgoing batch for their dedication, while welcoming the 53rd Council as they begin their service.
We were honoured to have Ms Claire Soon, the 34th Students’ Council President, as our Guest -of-Honour. In her address, she shared words of wisdom to the C1s, encouraging the incoming councillors to lead with confidence and reminding them of their capabilities.
From the school cheer that showed Hwa Chong’s fiery spirit to the seniors badging their juniors, the investiture was nothing short of heartwarming and inspiring. As our councillors linked arms, the ceremony closed with the singing of “当你孤单你会想起谁”, echoing the shared spirit from the heart of Council.
We are deeply grateful to the 52nd Students’ Council for their service. Finally, we wish the 53rd Students’ Council all the best in their journey ahead, and place our trust in them as they take on the responsibility of serving the school!
