Congratulations to Rebecca Ong Jia Min (18S7F) who clinched a Bronze medal in the Junior Epee team event at the Asia Junior and Cadet Fencing Championship (AJCC) in Dubai on 4 March 2018.

She remarked that:
"Team Singapore has lost narrowly to Kazakhstan for the past 3 years at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships. Finally being able to overcome their team to earn a medal gave me immense joy, especially since it was a massive feat achieved through team unity and individual grit. Being able to represent the country in fencing has been such a wonderful experience, and this privilege would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my teachers, classmates, coaches and parents who have made my sporting dreams a reality. This journey is still a work in progress and I will continue to work hard to become a better fencer."

Rebecca has been selected to represent Singapore in the upcoming World Junior and Cadet Fencing Championship in Verona, Italy. We wish her all the best for the upcoming competition held in early April.
