Hwa Chong Students Celebrate Our Centenary Through Sculpture28 Mar 2019
4S2 2019 and the culmination of their efforts
The cardboard sculptures are a culmination of work by the iSpark Consortium teachers and students over the last 2 years. iSpark students started the construction of the sculptures when they attended the Maker Faire@iSpark 2017, a festival for the iSpark Secondary One and Two cohort.
Hwa Chong students were involved in one of the three hands-on and fun activities offered per level to nurture invention, design, creativity and resourcefulness. iSpark students created creating the tigers and the 我爱华中 cardboard sculptures under the guidance of Cardboard Sculptor Bartholomew Ting.
Encouraged by their form teacher –Dr Shieh Le Shiang, 4S2 2019 took the opportunity as a class to paint these sculptures, adding colour and life to the HCI Tiger and its 2 cubs in January 2019, as part of Hwa Chong’s Centennial Celebrations!
