Embracing Diversity at Hwa Chong

02 Oct 2017

In conjunction with this year's Mid-Autumn festival celebrations, Hwa Chong's clock tower will be lit up in purple to commemorate the 5th edition of the Purple Parade 2017.

The Purple Parade is a movement that supports the inclusion and celebrates the abilities of people with special needs. Most importantly, it believes that people with special needs are part of our community and should have equal access to opportunities and a quality life.

Starting from 1 Oct 2017, our Clock Tower will be blazed in purple hues at nightfor a month in support of this movement as we continue to champion the creation of more equitable opportunities for all.

The official day of the Purple Parade is 28 Oct 2017 and it will be held at Suntec City (Suntec Plaza) from 3-7pm. Do head down to lend your support and show your commitment to forging a more inclusive society.

Do look out for our band who will be partnering SUNDAC to form a ‘marching-band’ contingent, our Wushu boys’ performance, as well as our students selling merchandise in aid of the Purple Parade Movement on the day itself!
