Project: Eco-Friendly Synthesis of Cerium Oxide Nanoparticles for UV Protection
Mentor: Mrs Sow-Peh Yoke Keow
Synopsis: The group discovered a novel way to synthesize cerium oxide nanoparticles using Cordyline fruticosa leaf extracts. The cerium oxide nanoparticles synthesized possessed UV protection and antioxidative properties and could be incorporated into sunblock to protect against harmful UV rays.
